Your home during this 28-day course will be Comprehensive Wellness Center in North Little Rock, Arkansas, with lead instructor, Saint Adeogba and an amazing team of yoga instructors.

Their mission is to promote and support the integrity and diversity of the teaching of yoga through various initiatives. Swadhyaya Yoga School is a 200-hour and 300-hour Registered Yoga School (RYS) with the Yoga Alliance.

Are weekends off?
No. There are classes on Saturdays and you will be immersed in training six days per week. However, students do have the option to relax on Sundays or join fellow classmates and staff on cultural excursions.
What is a 300-hour yoga teacher training?
The 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training offers an advanced yoga training curriculum designed for the experienced yoga instructor who is intentional about developing their yogic skills to the next level. This residential intensive course provides specialized tools for personal transformation and professional growth.
A 300-hour advanced training is designed to build upon and deepen the trainee’s understanding of the fundamental concepts of the practice and teaching of yoga that are taught during the 200-hour course. This prepares trainees to teach advanced principles and techniques of yoga in more (and subtler) detail. Which enables you to teach with greater skill and precision than could reasonably be expected of a 200-hour trained teacher.
The curriculum is designed to deliver this training during 300 hours of experiential practice, written assignments, presentations, excursions and discourse.
You also cultivate enhanced business essentials for developing your brand, messaging and marketing your offerings.
What does "RYT 300" stand for?
"RYT 300" is an acronym which stands for Registered Yoga Teacher 300-Hour. "300-Hour" means you have studied and accumulated 300 hours of information and study time. It is our intention that the yoga aspirant augment their awareness of the principles which form the foundation of yoga: such as the moral and ethical codes, discipline, mindfulness, inner awareness, all qualities which promote a well-rounded human being and productive contributor to society.
Can I join this course if I am completely new to yoga?
No. Students must provide evidence of having attained a 200 hour level yoga teacher training in the form of a teacher training certificate. Yoga is more than just exercise and being physically fit. It is a way of life. Swadhyaya is the fourth Niyama (self-disciplines) of Patanjali's Yog Sutras (Ashtanga Yoga) and means "self-study" or "self-inquiry." It is this mindset we hope to cultivate and seek to observe in our students.
Earning a 300-hour yoga teacher training certificate comes with a responsibility to demonstrate ethical, moral precepts as a role model to future students/teachers, as well as a continual commitment to self-study.
Click here to see a recommended reading list that our highly qualified and skilled yoga practitioners have compiled.
Will I have free time?
Yes. While your days are relatively full from sunup to sundown, the daily schedule allows plenty of free time for rest and self-study. Classes are six days a week and Sundays are a rest day, the perfect time to relax or take in the sights of the area.
Do you have students from different cultural backgrounds?
Yes, students from diverse cultures around the globe come to learn with Swadhyaya Yoga School. So far, we have welcomed participants from over 120 countries.
What style of yoga will I be learning?
Swadhyaya Yoga School advances expression, education and awareness of Hatha, Ashtanga, and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. While the focus will be on these practices, we will also introduce you to Restorative, Yin, and Iyengar yoga, with additional learning about modifications for children and elderly populations.
Hatha yoga is a branch of yoga derived from one of the six schools of Hinduism. It is the science of yoga which purifies the whole physical body by means of shatkarma (six cleansing practices), asana (postures), pranayama (breathing practices), mudra (seals), bandha (locks) and concentration, as a prelude to raja (Kingly) yoga and samadhi (higher state of awareness commonly referred to as “bliss”). All of which are explored during your yoga teacher training.
Will I be learning Ashtanga yoga?
Ashtanga Yoga is understood by the yogic scholar as the eight-limbs of Sage Patanjali: yama (moral code), niyama (self-restraints), asana (posture), pranayama (breathing practices), pratyahara (sense withdrawal), dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation), samadhi (bliss). Ashtanga Yoga is often confused with the popularized vinyāsa style of yoga developed by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in 1948. Both the origin and sequences developed by Jois, as well as Patanjali’s teachings, will be explored during this yoga teacher training course.
What is your payment and cancellation policy?
Final payments are due 30 days before the start date of the trip to keep your spot secure.
If cancellation (always in writing) takes place within 7 days of booking, 100% of the paid trip price, minus your deposit, is refundable, unless the retreat start date is less than 60 days from booking date.
Cancel 60-120+ Days Prior to Course Start Date
If you submit a written cancellation request more than 60 days from the training start date, you can be refunded for the cost of the retreat, minus your deposit.
Alternatively, you can transfer your booking to another training date of equal value at no extra cost. Your deposit remains valid for one year from the end date of the course for which you initially registered.
Cancel Under 60 Days Prior to Course Start Date
Deposits and full payments are non-refundable but can be transferred to another training date at no additional cost, provided the new training takes place within one year from the end date of the course you originally registered for.
Will I need Travel Insurance?
We recommend participants purchase travel insurance when making travel plans; and, although health insurance is not a requirement for travel within the United States, it is highly recommended. Since each country offers different travel insurance plans, we suggest a policy that has trip cancellation language, such as “cancel for any reason.” Terminology such as this will protect against the rare chance of cancellation. We encourage you to shop around.
